The Voice Inside A Thriller Frost Easton Book 2 eBook Brian Freeman

What do you do when you hold the power to release a serial killer from prison, morally and legally? And, in so doing, you ruin a good friend’s life and of course, know with every beat of your heart, he will kill again as soon as he can! If you are Homicide Inspector Frost Easton, you do the right thing. How does he live with the results of that decision for the rest of his life? Does he get peace of mind?

Frost is an interesting character, introvert, alone except for a cat named Shack, lives in a mansion, and only became a cop to find his sister’s killer. The same killer discussed above! Not only is this a clever and imaginative storyline but really bad things happen, when you don’t expect. This is not like a TV show where characters you like never die! Lots of surprises just add enjoyment to this story. It stands alone well, even though it is part of a series. A hard-to-put-down, exciting, and suspenseful read!

The Voice Inside A Thriller Frost Easton Book 2 eBook Brian Freeman Reviews

I wrote to Brian after reading The Night Bird and wishing the book had more of the brother sister chemistry. Boy did he deliver that here. The book is an apt closure to that aspect of Frost Easton's life. A book which makes you question judgements made by the lead characters (pretty early in the narrative of this book) sure manages to hit the bulls eye with it's audience. So being the selfish reader I am, it would be great to maybe see a prequel into the Jess and Frost Easton relationship and definitely into the mind of one of the most impressive negative characters, Rudy Cutter. On the negative side, I felt the book trying to rush a bit to make it a quick read. Apart from the nitpicking, this was a compelling sequel to The Night Bird. A good stand-alone read too if you haven't read the first.
The second book in the Frost Easton series was another solid thriller by Brian Freeman. Creepy with some eye-opening surprises along the way. I enjoyed the journey with the characters more than the mystery itself for this start-to-finish page turner. Bottom line is that Brian Freeman writes a great story which is what I need most from an author. Glad to see a third book, CROOKED STREET, is already planned for this series as this book ended EXACTLY how I wanted it to end for Frost.
I'd be a really bad cop "I know that this guy is guilty but there is no proof... well... lookee here, what a coincidence, I just found the evidence to put him away...oh, no... he tripped and fell into a knife...ten times!" So Frost Easton is not my favorite character at the beginning of this novel. Sure, let's sell the Police down the river and let a serial killer loose just because "it's the right thing to do." I could have slapped him, but the rest of the novel was so entertaining and interesting that I ended up forgiving him. We have new characters (one of which is adorable) and Shack, the best fictional cat ever, gets a chance to shine.
The Voice Inside is an action packed, riveting novel where our main character, Frost Easton, takes on a cunning serial killer in the backdrop of San Francisco. Easton, a San Francisco homicide detective, while dealing with some of his own personal demons, doggedly pursues serial killer Rudy Cutter before he can once again take another human life. The killings seem random until Easton has an "aha" moment. The author Brian Freeman is a master of the "aha" moment where the main character in his story discovers a clue that resolves an important dynamic in the action and moves the reader toward a thrilling climax. The reader may find himself/herself saying "aha" as the action continues. Freeman continues to write psychological thrillers and this one won't disappoint.
Homicide detective Frost Easton still mourns the death of his sister,Katie, at the hands of serial killer Rudy Cutter. His only consolation is that Rudy Cutter was caught and convicted on evidence found by Frost’s partner, Jess Salceda, and is in prison. However, when someone gives Frost proof that his partner Jess planted the evidence to frame Cutter, he has to come forward, even knowing that this may set his sister’s killer free. The repercussions are devastating. This book is the second in the series about Frost Easton . It is rare that I like the second book better than the first in a series. The character development of Frost and his family was very interesting and enjoyable to read about. The games between Frost and Cutter were breathtaking. Cutter is a particularly evil and creepy character. The last third of the book was almost painful to read because I couldn’t read it fast enough. I definitely recommend this book to thriller lovers. I do think that you should read the first book in the series before this one. I look forward to more books in this series!
I loved this book! Brian you absolutely write the best OMG endings! I know I’m saying this before anything in the beginning..but it was “OMG I HAD NO IDEA ——DID THIS

So now you know how much I loved “The Voice Inside Book 2” and after what I read I am completely expecting Book 3! There’s no getting around this one!

So we have Detective Frost Easton at another fascinating mystery that involves a family member. He’s completely 100% into this because of that. Due to an issue another detective did, left a hole in the investigation. Frost knows it & his gut tells him he can’t do anything about it. It’s pretty much not a spoiler here because the killer is known pretty much right away but...just read it 👍

So Frost puts his entire life on hold to get this “killer” caught...but an unexpected visitor gets deep into his life...as well as another, very cool on that one 😂😂

I will not spoil this for anyone except I am always surprised at Brian Freeman’s books. They enthrall you with every read. Every page, every chapter is something you just can’t put down. I actually had to re read a couple of chapters because I was so shocked! You’ll love it! It deserves more than 5 ⭐️ and I highly recommend it for all over 18 yrs due to graphic violence described and a few F bombs but nothing bad at all...

Thank you Brian, as usual!! Definitely reading again!! 👊
